Papers, 1946-2009.

The McCall papers consist of personal papers that document his life and ministry. The collection is divided into several series of materials and includes correspondence; subject files; articles; addresses; and informational files on race relations, the Black church, Baptist history, the Baptist World Alliance, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the International Theological Center, the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Alumni Association. The collections also includes numerous sermons and writings by McCall. Transcripts of two oral history interviews with McCall are a part of the papers. The collection holds many audio and visual resources, mostly related to McCall. These recordings include sermons, addresses, music, and interviews of Emmanuel McCall. Photographs and photograph albums in the collection document McCall's family life, ministry, Baptist World Alliance activities, and mission trips. Several scrapbooks include clippings, programs, letters, and photographs that document McCall's life, activities, and accomplishments

The Home Mission Board began work in Cuba in 1886. Work in the country expanded for about a decade, but by the end of the Spanish-American War in 1898, nearly all mission activity had been demoralized.
